Ryan McClure,

Jack Blake earned his first Man of the Match honor Sunday evening in Jacksonville Armada FC’s home loss to the Miami FC. The reigning NASL Player of the Month shined in the Armada FC’s first home game in nearly a month at Hodges Stadium.

Throughout the course of the match, Blake held a heavy presence in both the offensive and defensive side of the match.

"I think tactically and defensively, we got the game right," said Blake. "It just boils down to opportunities to score."

In the first ten minutes, Blake was already off to a running start by winning a foul in the opposing half.

He then went on to record two shots, one shot forcing a good save by the Miami keeper. He tallied a total of eight crosses with most finding their mark. Moving the ball around the pitch with efficiency, he recorded 56 total passes, 89 percent being successful. One of his passes nearly unleashed J.C. Banks, however Banks was ruled offsides.

Blake had a blocked shot in the defensive half and won two solid challenges. His presence in the middle of the field was definitely felt by Miami FC. He was all over the field, disrupting Miami multiple times by gaining back possession for Jacksonville 17 times.

Sunday's 3-0 loss starts off a busy week for the Armada FC as they play Indy Eleven at home on Wednesday. Blake and the Boys in Blue look to put themselves in a very prominent position as the season gets more competitive, fighting for a spot in the postseason Championship.

"We always knew this game would be a tough game. There's no real 'bouncing back'. I feel like we just keep playing our game. We know we can beat Indy," said Blake.
