The Jacksonville Armada FC earned a total of four mentions on Wednesday in the NASL Team of the Week. These honors follow the Armada FC’s 0-0 draw against the San Francisco Deltas on Saturday, which kept the team’s spot atop the NASL standings.

The Armada FC has yet to concede a goal this season and Caleb Patterson-Sewell is the only goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in the league after three matches and 270 minutes of action.  He saved both shots on target from the Deltas at Hodges Stadium.

Armada FC captain Aaron Pitchkolan kept a strong presence in the backline and continued to prove his ability to lead. He totaled two clearances and completed 83 of 97 passes.

Midfielder Jack Blake was both a threat in the midfield and on the attack. He won six duels and both of his tackles. Blake also had the best chance at a goal with a chance in both halves.

Another steady presence in the midfield was that of Kevan George. His three interceptions and completion of 69 of 78 passes earned him the Team of the Week honors.

The result on Saturday kept Jacksonville undefeated and in first place in the Spring Season Standings. The Armada FC next travels to New York to take on the defending 2016 NASL champion, the New York Cosmos, on Saturday at MCU Park. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. EST and the match will air on beIN SPORTS.
