JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Armada FC returns to Hodges Stadium on Saturday to battle the San Francisco Deltas in the third game of the NASL Spring Season. Saturday’s match will kick off at 7 p.m. and will be the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.

The Armada FC is coming off a 1-0 victory over FC Edmonton, and is 2-0 to start the regular season for the first time in club history. Both victories this season have come over the Eddies and ended 1-0.

The most recent victory over FC Edmonton came on Saturday, April 8, courtesy of a 7th-minute goal from Zach Steinberger.  Steinberger received a short corner kick from Jack Blake, turned to the goal, and ripped a shot that snuck through the goalkeeper’s hands and into the bottom right corner of the frame. The Armada FC is the last remaining undefeated team, placing the club in first place of the NASL standings.

The Deltas have recorded one win and one draw in its first two games as a club since the start of the 2017 campaign.  San Francisco won its last game against North Carolina FC, 3-1, behind two goals from forward Tommy Heinemann. After conceding a goal in the first half, the Deltas bounced back to score three unanswered goals in the final 45 minutes of the match.

“It will be great to return to Hodges and play in front of our fantastic supporters,” said head coach Mark Lowry. “We are all aware of the focus and determination required against San Fransisco, and we need to make sure we are up to the task of delivering a performance that the community deserves.”

Saturday’s match at Hodges Stadium will be the second home game of the season, and the Armada FC will be looking for its third-straight win of the season.  Parking opens at 4 p.m. and is located just outside the stadium in Lot 18. Tickets can be purchased on the Armada FC website, or by calling 844.2.ARMADA.
